Why We Like It
Designed by Sarah Hunter, the Weekend Vibes quilt is super simple to make and a great way to step into quilting. The design is fresh and fun, and the pattern instructions are written with a beginner in mind, making this a perfect project for someone wanting to learn how to quilt.
It includes 2 sizes: crib and throw - make a baby gift and a fun throw for your couch. It's a great use of fat quarters: choose 14 colors, follow Sarah's directions to make the simple blocks, then arrange them into a fun quilt composition!
The pattern includes thorough instructions, a coloring page, and multiple colorway ideas to inspire you.

All of these mockups have 14 colors. You'll need 14 fat quarters (FQ) plus about 2 yards of background for the throw size. Our color-themed bundles are a great way to get these 14 FQs!
Mixed Rainbow Colors
Use all 12 FQs from our Rainbow Value Five bunde of Kona Cotton, plus 1 FQ of black and 1 FQ of dark grey to assemble a randomized design of the throw size quilt.
Diagonal Rainbow Gradient
Use all 24 FQ in two bundles of Kona Cotton: Rainbow Value Five and Rainbow Value Three to assemble a diagonal gradient design of the throw size, plus have enough leftover for the baby size. Also, if you use all the FQ to make 6 blocks from each, you should have 10 blocks leftover that could be pieced into the backing or to make a pillow or a 10"x50" tablerunner!
Randomized
Choose 14 FQ in one of Art Gallery's PURE Solids bundles to assemble a randomized design of the throw size quilt. You'll have plenty of FQs leftover - perfect for scrappy binding, adding to your fabric stash, or for making another quilt!
