Omega Quilt Pattern
Omega Quilt Pattern
Make an improv-inspired checkerboard quilt with this pattern by Miss Make.
This quilt is achieved with strip piecing, a streamlined set of templates, curved piecing, and a few clever cutting tweaks for maximum variation. Make the Basic layout for a more straightforward look, or try the Improv layout with strategically placed disruptor blocks that bump up the randomized feel.
Omega's construction is a lot more simple than you might imagine on first glance! Just follow the pattern instructions to use the templates on strip-pieced units. If you're a little wary of curves, Omega's curves are pretty gentle geometrically speaking, not anywhere near a quarter circle like in a drunkard's path type pattern. Check out Miss Make's video tutorial for sewing Omega's curves without pinning.
Features 6 sizes, instructions with extensive diagrams, and a large template sheet of the curved shapes and coloring pages.
