Patchwork Pillow Cover: Focal Point Quilting
Share
Straight line quilting looks mighty fine on a simple solid pillow, don't you think?
Following the instructions in our Patchwork Pillow Cover pattern, I made a cover for a 18" square pillow form.
I chose 3 colors from our Green 5FQ Bundle of Kona Cotton and added grey for the lining.
I made the front by quilting three 18" square layers together with Aurifil 40wt thread in Medium Grey (#1158): Kona Cypress, a batting scrap, and a grey solid. The focal point quilting design is found on page 53 of the book: WALK by Jacquie Gering [Amazon]. How perfect for this pillow! Here are my notes for marking the quilting lines, in case you want to make one, too:
I used Kona Clover for the back, and Kona Basil for the ties using the long tie variation. Very St. Patrick!
